How wonderful this lovely piece of paradise is! We don't want to leave. The owner's hospitality and attention to detail in her campground is amazing. You feel like part of the family.. They have dry and electric/water sites . You are surrounded by quiet countryside and beautiful tree-covered hills. You may even see a bull elk and his harem come out at dusk. How special! Thank you for sharing your special place with us. Toni and Bob

On our way to the beaches we decided to stay near the city of Forks. We called Last chance camping and we were told to come over and camp. We were welcome by a friendly lady, we paid the camping fee and we pitched our tent in this flat and gorgeous place. There is no electricity or shower building but there is water and fire pit. I love this campground.

It is really a "last, assured and beautiful" spot for camping. It is very close to nature as well as supermarket and restaurants, making you feel private as well as keeping you connected. We accidentally came across this one and it unexpectedly rained a lot that day. Thankfully we were here with our tent and enough visibility for first timer else deep inside rainforest could have been too challenging. Host is really welcoming and helpful. She is definitely improving the camp facilities so you can visit with more convenience.

To say that they are saviors would be an understatement. After my husband and I drove from Seattle and showed up to Ruby Beach and saw the campsites were full and continued to desperately search for a place to stay they were an answer to our prayers. I called them late at night and she let us stay at her campsite. She had wood for us to buy and got us safely off the road. I 10/10 recommend this place for regular camping if your in the area or caught in a bind. Veronica was so sweet, her bathroom (port-a-potty) is clean, they have pits for fires and even picnic tables. Def try their place you won’t regret it! We will be seeing them again next time we go back to Forks!

Veronica was amazing! Gave us lots of firewood for a 5 dollar bundle, welcomed us to our site, had a picnic table and firepit, clean trash can, port a potties, running water, close to Forks, beautiful elk and the view was awesome. She also answered questions about the campsite via phone prior to our arrival. It's a no reservations spot so make sure you get there before exploring. Overall great experience!
-
I highly recommend staying at last chance camp!!! Our group had a wonderful experience. Veronica is very nice and attentive to anyone’s needs. She does an excellent job keeping the grounds in order. Speaking of the grounds, it is a picturesque view tucked away from the main road. Definitely going back since we had such a great experience!!

Awesome place....the owner was a hoot.
Really enjoyed our stay!! -
I highly recommend this campground. The owner is friendly and attentive, the site is generously sized and it is a quiet and peaceful setting close to town. If dry camping is your thing then this is the place for you. I will definitely return when I am in this area again.

Absolutely a great place to stay. Sure it's simple and basic, but it's a place to pitch a tent, has a fire pit, best campfire wood around, and a great host! No showers, but there is a porta john and water available, just come prepared and you're in for a treat under the stars with elk sneaking around to keep you company.
-
Beautiful campground with elk visiting early morning. The host Veronica is amazing. great place to stay when you want to visit Olimpic National Park.( Hoh rain forest,Sol duc hot springs,La Push ,Rialto beach. Very spacious, quiet. Easy access for our 40 ft big rig Rv.

This campsite is very close to Forks and the owner is extremely friendly and helpful; the campsite was clean, well maintained, and quiet. If you don't mind the limited facilities (or have an RV) then this campsite will probably be perfect for you.
As an added plus, there are horses on the pasture behind the campsite that you can visit. We also had an elk herd come through the campsite while we were staying there.

We traveled from Tacoma, only to find a festival was the same weekend and struck out finding a spot with any park system. A quick Google search, and we headed to Veronica's camp. The space is a spacious field right along a small creek outside of Forks, with a portable toilet, running water, firewood for sale, and a herd of elk. This is an excellent jump off to git the coast or the mountains, and we did both. I also was woken at 4 am to the herd of elk silently moving along the fence line about 40 to 50 ft from my tent. What an excellent experience and Veronicas camp made it stress free and easy. Thank you so much! See you again.

So glad we found this place. The awesome lady whom runs the place, Veronica, it is her own property, is an extremely nice person who is a great host. If you run out of luck with not being able to find a place to camp or you just want to get away and dont feel like driving anymore I would highly recommend paying a visit.

I was traveling alone and nervous about arriving at 10pm, when I arrived the owner Veronica was there with a flashlight to help guide me in! Felt very welcome during my stay, the location is easy to find and conveniently close to town. Waking up to see horses on one side and an elk herd on the other was awesome, and the camp was clean and comfortable. I had lots of great conversations with the neighbors and Veronica and look forward to visiting again!

We camped here on memorial weekend this year. Secluded, quiet, and beautiful! Woke up to elk two out of three mornings. Veronica, the owner, was extremely helpful and friendly. Camping area was grassy field with individual fire pits at each site. Dog friendly and we will likely return if we are ever in the area again!

It's a good, quiet location, easy to get in and out of town ?.
-
There was a huge herd of elk across the road from the campsite. Level ground made for a comfortable night. The views of the rolling hills are picturesque.

Unable to find an open spot in Kalaloch and with a recommendation from the Ranger we found a beautiful quiet and very clean place to stay. We went with the idea of staying one night but we stayed 4 nights. We were pleasantly surprised and loved it here. Veronica greeted us upon our arrival and supplied us with free wood. She's amazing and made us feel welcome. Lots of room for our pups and grandkids. I highly recommend this campground. Beautiful peaceful place to travel up to Port Angles and down to Ocean Shores- great beast camp!

Sorry about all the ? Marks! I don’t know what happened! Thanks again!

Veronica is such a lovely host! She greeted us with a great big smile and welcomed us for the night. She provided us with our first night campfire wood, which we were beyond grateful because we didn’t have any yet. The campsite was clean and neat. We really enjoyed the views and the wild elk who were out in the field, right across the street. I would definitely recommend this place!! ????????????

Gorgeous, simple and unique. This place is one of a kind and such a great idea. As more and more tourist start coming to the coast, camping spots are next to none during summer months. Last chance is exactly what this place is. My boyfriend and I came to the coast for a quick get away without much of a plan. We were planning on winging the whole trip which usually leads to some pretty great things. Called a couple camping spots just to see and of course we got the cold shoulder with busy and packed camp grounds. We finally saw Last Chance and made a quick call. The friendly woman answered the phone saying she had plenty of space. Finally we were in luck!!
We headed just outside of town and drove by these beautiful fields. Out of the corner of our eyes we spot the cute Last Chance signs. Do not be skeptical just follow the sign and go around the large abandoned building to the gorgeous open field. The place was EMPTY to our amazement. We picked our spot out of the many and saw a women coming to us on her ATV. She greeted us and we ended up talking about how she got the place started and all it had to offer. There were horses, elk and a ton of cute birds and wildlife. We only stayed a night but got so comfortable and felt incredibly safe. We enjoyed the sunset, saw a massive heard of elk right next to us and built an amazing fire. There is one outhouse & a small sink with soap and counter space to clean dishes if needed. The owner is willing to help with whatever and even provided the first night of firewood for free!!
We can not wait to be back and bring our family and friends. Thank you for the amazing and comfortable stay!! This place needs to get on Airbnb to get the word out and spaces filled up. So much potential!!

Gracious camp host accepted us coming in late, set us up with firewood and even had extra gear for us when we discovered our tent had no poles! The grounds are clean, quiet and beautiful. Watching the elk was a peaceful way to end the day! I would definately recomend this experience over a hotel and will come back!
-
Great place to stay when you want to visit the Hoh rainforest and La Push. The hostess is very friendly and surprised us with a first night of free firewood. Elk are walking in the field across the street and there are some horses nearby. We loved the atmosphere and would definately recommend

We took a risk and drove to Olympic National Park without a campground reservation over Memorial Day long weekend, since the reservation system doesn't start till June. Weather was very nice that weekend, so of course many people headed out there. Admittedly, we started our trip late, so by the time we got there, the few campgrounds around Kalaloch area were all full. We got cell signal on the side of the road, and found out about Last Chance campground. We called and the owner (Veronica) picked up. We made a reservation with her and drove up to Forks. We were glad we found this campground! Essentially, it's a big meadow next to Veronica's house. It's a simple place, but has everything you need for camping. Picnic table is available and campfire is allowed at designated area at each campsite. All campsites share a sink with running water and a portable potty. The local herds of elk will come by to graze on the meadow across the street around dusk everyday. Veronica was super nice! She is friendly but not intrusive, and very professional. She came by to take a picture for us when she saw us observing the elks. We felt very safe staying there. It's centrally located to Hoh rainforest and beaches in La Push, so we didn't have to spend too much time driving around once we were there. We had a great time! Will visit again!

My husband and I camped here for two nights over Memorial Day weekend. Veronica was very accommodating and we thought the location was great. We were minutes from the highway, stores and within 30 minutes from the hikes and beaches we planned to do that weekend. For $25/night you have a space for your car/RV, tent, picnic table and trash can. She gave us lots of *free* firewood, a port-a-pot and a stand with soap and running water from a hose hookup. We loved the seclusion and the wild elk herd hanging around. It was peaceful and the other campers were very friendly. There was a dog but no kids. They’ve got a great field if you’d want to bring them along and have a safe spacious area to play. Highly recommend for a unique experience for you and your family!

Best campground I have had the joy of experiencing! Everyone was very welcoming and kind. Everything was very clean and tidy. It's a shame that certain people feel the need to troll on this beautiful campground! Especially people that have never been to the campground. I suppose they have nothing better to do with their day. I would recommend this campground to anyone and everyone if you want quality care for a fantastic price.
Be careful reading hardcore negative reviews for this place since it very obviously is someone who has never stayed here. Thank you for the amazing service and kindness Veronica! -
Miss~Veronica is a Wonderful Hostess and the view of wild Elk was Wonderful. Looking forward to another visit.
-
Beautiful Campground with easy access. Next to a fabulous lookout to see the Elk herd. Super nice owners.
-
This was place was perfect for exploring the Olympic national park, with about a 25 minute drive to hoh rainforest. Veronica is such a friendly host! Provided fire wood and a lovely welcome. Managed to take some gorgeous photos of the elk too! A good distance from town so you felt out of the way but close enough to nip in and grab supplies. Overall a really great campground.
-
Great little find. Quiet little nook just off the beaten path. Free firewood, great views, and super friendly owner. Close enough to town to park the bike and walk back in for supplies.
Highly recommended!!!

We ended up here after finding everything else full. After staying, we wish we would have started out here. The owner is super friendly and helped us to have a wonderful experience. The campground is an open, flat grass field (It felt great after camping on inclined dirt patches at other campgrounds.) Our kids loved the area to run around and play games. The campground is near the end of a dead end road that feels way out in the country (complete with nearby elk), yet you could easily walk to town.

When I pulled into Last Chance Camp I had been driving alone for 10 hours up the 101 from Oregon. I had planned on camping at a national park but didn't have a reservation and everything was fully booked or miles off the highway on a gravel road that lead to nowhere. I pulled into Forks, all the hotels were booked and I was becoming more and more concerned. Then I saw the sign for Last Chance and immediately felt relieved. I pulled into this grassy, beautifully kept property and was greeted by 80 wild elk and the owner, Veronica, who had a big smile on her face.I told Veronica my story and she gave me a big hug, she could tell I needed it. Luckily for me, she had a tent with a queen sized air mattress and sleeping bags set up for me because a reservation had canceled. I started to make a fire (with wood they provided for free!) when Veronica's husband Charlie came out and started it for me! I woke up the next morning, made coffee and sat in the field with their horses and watched the elk from afar. It was so beautiful and quiet, I felt at home.
Last Chance Camp saved me! Veronica and Charlie saved me and made me a home for the night. I live in California but long to be back in that rainforest and look forward to coming back again. -
As the name suggests, my party and I landed here after finding everything else on the peninsula full. We were extremely glad we did. Sure, it's not the same as camping in the woods or along the beach, but it's far better than driving around in the middle of the night hoping something opens up or sleeping in the car. The owner is as nice as can be and there is even a herd of elk that wonder around near the property which is great to see. I highly recommend it for those that are looking for either A) simply a place to stay because everything is full or B) you want to glamp with a store and city very close by.

Rolled into Forks/La Push on a Saturday without a reservation and everything was full except here. Last Resort was just that but it turned out to be one of the best camping spots ever. Awesome host, free firewood and herds of Elk in the fields all around us.
